To the Summerside & Area soccer community,
It has come to our attention that there is an online advertising campaign for a Soccer company “SummerFC” that has been circulating in the area and community. We have heard from several of our members that have seen it and have questions. Read below information that we want to share so that you are all aware of the situation.
Summerside United Soccer Club (SUSC) want all to know that we have NO affiliation or connection with this company or any of its programs. It appears to be an online campaign to register players 3 to 8 years old for a summer program to be held in Summerside. They are advertising programs across the country, and we have no knowledge of who they are or any comment on the legitimacy of the program. No information that is advertised or available show if they have a physical presence in Summerside.
SUSC has operated and run programming in our community for 25 years and continue to do so as a nonprofit, volunteer driven group. We have over 750 players and more than 100 volunteers that work very hard to further the sport within our community. This is done at the lowest cost possible while continuing to have a high-quality program. Our programs and club are sanctioned by Soccer PEI, Soccer Canada and carry training and insurance to provide a quality safe engaging program. We hope that you all will continue to support our club, and we want to make you aware of the situation.
We will be offering the same programming at a much more reasonable price point and will provide more on field time with trained instructors/coaches than the other program is offering. The registration for the U5, U7 & U9 programs will begin May 1st. There will be lots of room available if you register during the 2-week period that registration is open.
